Annual Events

The City of Jetmore has a number of annual events that draw quite the crowd.  We hope that you will consider joining this crowd the next time the event rolls around! Below, you will find a list of these annual events that you can come and enjoy.

Journey to Bethlehem

The Journey to Bethlehem is a community event held on the second weekend in December and hosted by the United Methodist Church at 204 Highway Street.  The “Journey” takes visitors through first century Bethlehem to experience the original Christmas.  Travelers meet the Wisemen, census taker, tax collector, inn keepers, elders, shepherds and angels as they pass through the gates of Bethlehem. They will come upon a market place full of sights and sounds complete with live animals, and culminate the journey with an encounter with Mary, Joseph and the Christ child.  Tours are Saturday and Sunday nights from 5:30 – 8:30.  There are also special needs’ tours from 5:00 – 5:30 each night.   For more information or questions contact Carolyn Tarman at (620) 357-6237 or http://hodgemancountyumcs.org/
