NOTICE OF GENERAL QUESTION ELECTION
TO ALL THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF JETMORE, KANSAS:
Notice is hereby given by the Jetmore City Council and the County Election Officer of Hodgeman County, Kansas, that there will be a general question election in Hodgeman County on the 4th day of November, 2025, for the purpose of voting on the question of levying a citywide retailers’ sales tax in the amount of one percent (1%) on retail sales consummated within the City of Jetmore, Kansas to be levied for twenty (20) years with revenues of such tax to be used to help finance the electric utility fund; in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 12-187 et seq., and amendments thereto. If approved by a majority of the electors voting thereon, such tax will take effect on the 1st day of April, 2026, and shall be collected by the State Department of Revenue, and the revenue therefrom returned and distributed as provided by law to the Jetmore City Clerk for use in the city operations, expenses, improvements and infrastructure as located in Jetmore, Kansas.
Notice is further given that the polls will be open for voting between 7:00 o’clock a.m. and 7:00 o’clock p.m. on said date at the King Center in Jetmore.
The proposition shall appear on the ballot as follows:
