CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT:

*City Lake-The city received word from KDHE last Friday that the city lake remains under the Watch

for blue-green algae. The cells/mL of algae were 211,342. The level for a Watch is anything over 80,000   cells/mL and under 250,000 cells/mL, so the city lake is close to being in the Warning level. The level of toxins in the water (Microcystin) remains encouraging as this is the element that threatens the health of humans and pets. The level for a Watch is anything above 4.0 micrograms/L, up to 7.9 micrograms. 8.0 to 1,999 constitutes a Warning. The result for the city lake was .3. Signage remains posted at the self-pay station and at the top of the beach as a warning to lake goers.

*Airport Pavement Project Update-The city was recently asked by email about millings from the airport pavement project. Also, no specific date for the project has been shared with the city yet, but it is anticipated to be soon.

*LSLI Update-Wording for Facebook and the city website regarding the new incentive program the council agreed to last month was received recently and has been placed on both of those platforms. JEO staff will soon also be sending out press releases to the Jetmore Republican and to area radio stations to advertise the program.

*Main St. Project Update-A final draft of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was received from KDOT legal last Wednesday. It was signed by Mr. Ort and sent it back that same day. We expect the fully executed document to be returned within the next few weeks. The project remains on track for beginning next spring.

*KMIT Risk Control-The KMIT Risk Control interview was recently conducted over the phone. Once again the city of Jetmore has qualified for the Gold Star level, which will entitle us to a 5% discount off our premiums when those are figured soon for the coming year’s renewal.
